The thriller elements, especially, are subdued, mainly because the director is focused more on the character study aspect and so, the first half feels less exciting. And with Hemanika, he brings out the doubts that a divorced young woman with a child would have when she is courted by a decent man. He quite struggled to emote in intense scenes and lacked that audacious cop diction. It's refreshing to see the actor in Ajith overshadowing the star and going on to prove who is much better. A few years later, Sathyadev is attracted to Hemanika Trisha , a single mother and a dancer. The problem with Yennai Arindhaal, and of course with its creator Gautham, is the filmmaker's growing obsession with some of his familiar tropes - the hot-headed and loud villain Victor Arun is terrific in the role , who reminds you of Pandian from Kaakha Kaakha, the perennial danger the protagonist's family gets into, the weakness for women, the role of a father, the songs that stop and break into conversations and again continue playing, the narratives that lose steam in the end and finally the length. Everything about the film and its protagonist Sathyadev is evolved to the extent that he's ready to accept a woman with a child in his life.
The real heroes of Yennai Arindhaal, the third film in Gautham's police franchise after Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyaadu Vilayadu, are the heroines Trisha and Anushka, for whom the film's best moments have been written. Ajith is simply dashing, elegant and mesmerizes the audience with his screen presence. In an earlier scene, he drives her to the hospital when she's in labour, not as a policeman, but while working incognito as an auto-rickshaw driver to nab a local rowdy. The real show stealer in terms of performance is Arun Vijay though his characterization wasn't convincing. Most of the film's story revolves around or should I say is linked to Hemalika and Thenmozhi, played by Trisha and Anushka respectively. But, five years later, situations force him to put on his cop shoes after he stumbles upon an illegal organ harvesting group that is being led by a ghost from his past — Victor.
In this story, the women also become the weakness of the heroes, for Ajith and Arun Vijay, who plays the antagonist Victor. Sathyadev chooses the good side and becomes a cop. In the initial moments between Sathyadev and Thenmozhi, there's a lot of talking, although they're strangers who've just met on a plane. Help us delete comments that do not follow these guidelines by marking them offensive. But when Hemanika is murdered on the eve of their wedding, Sathyadev goes on a cross-country sojourn with her six-year-old daughter Esha Anikha. With the recent biggies going awry, has this film with a combo that can be alluded to an amalgamation of mass and class fared any better? Ajith, who plays police officer Sathyadev, puts his life on the line to protect them and not just because it's his job.
Synopsis: Sathyadev, who is on a career break, is forced to put on his cop shoes ones again to save Thenmozhi, a young woman who is the target of a criminal organ harvesting group, led by a ghost from his past. And the same line resurfaces in a scene towards the end when both are talking on cell phones and the screen splits into two halves separated by a thin black line. Gautham uses a thin line to separate the police officer Sathyadev from the gangster Victor. During their journey on the flight, Anushka started vomiting because of overeating then Ajith Kumar helped her that made her feel better. Let's work together to keep the conversation civil.
He has truly obeyed Gautham's narration and the performance justify it. Ajith's screen presence is unbelievably amazing and it takes guts for a star with a crazy fan following to do something so bold. Verdict:performances of leads, pulsating background music with a subtle humor makes Yennai Arindhaal worth a watch. He prefixes the word 'they' in these sentences to symbolically highlight she's already been accepted in his life and he's ready to do everything together. The romance segments of the film seem to be other versions of the romantic tracks we saw in Kaakha Kaakha a bold young woman attracted to an enigmatic cop and Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu middle-aged cop falling in love with a single mom.
The one who deserves and wins special mention other than Ajith is Arun Vijay. He shows his class this time in rightly using the mass. Ajith as Sathyadev has truly justified his place in the industry by choosing such a role. Soon, Anushka develops a crush on Ajith Kumar. When she feels nauseated, he, a stranger, puts his hand on her shoulder to ask if she's alright. Talking about human drama, there's a lot of focus on friendship and betrayal.
And it costs them heavily in their careers. Gautham is one filmmaker who knows how to write female characters and here, Thenmozhi and Hemanika are well-rounded characters. I was bunking the college and went with my friend to watch the film. For a change, he doesn't stalk her; it's the other way around. The movie starts with Anushka Shetty arriving in Boston to visit her Niece.
Sathyadev is a man with an itch, as he describes himself, for inviting trouble. While Sathyadev chooses to be on the right side, loses people close to him of his choice and still manages to vanquish evil, Victor refuses to cross the line that separates the bad from the good. Yennai Arindhaal is the evolved story of police officer Sathyadev, who strives hard to strike a balance as a family man as well. Yennai Arindhaal: Gautam Menon joins hands with Ajith for the first time in his latest flick, which has hit the screens amidst colossal expectations. But the film does seem less punchy than Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu; it falls a bit short when it comes to matching the emotional undercurrent in the former and the detective thriller beats in the latter.
Everyone has a moment in their lives when they have to choose what they want to become and in Yennai Arindhaal, both the protagonist and antagonist get such a moment. When his father is shot dead by a gangster, a teenaged Sathyadev Ajith yearns for revenge. Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community. When they reach the hospital, she pays him a man's got to earn, you see. As a policeman it runs in his blood to do a background check on everybody he meets. Later on, Anushka and Ajith Kumar decides to meet at a cafe, as Anushka wanted to express her love for him. Gautham asks us, the audience, how many would be willing to accept a woman with a child without even inquiring about her past.
